Support GainesvilleShows

Help keep live music history accessible.

GainesvilleShows helps people find upcoming shows and preserves the flyers, photos, and memories of Gainesville's live music scene. Your support helps keep this resource available to everyone.

Why this archive exists

Live music history belongs to more than the biggest bands and venues. Local shows, DIY spaces, opening acts, and the people who documented them are part of that history too.

GainesvilleShows connects today's local shows with the history of the artists, venues, festivals, and people who have shaped Gainesville's music scene. The goal is a useful community resource and a lasting home for that history.

What your support pays for

GainesvilleShows is an independent project, built and maintained by one person with help from community contributors. Keeping the site and its shared archive running costs a few hundred dollars a month, before accounting for the time spent building and maintaining it.

Contributions help cover hosting, image storage and delivery, domain names, and the tools used to research and organize the archive. The first goal is to cover those ongoing costs and keep the project sustainable as it grows.

Browsing the archive and contributing to it remain free. Financial support is always optional.

Sponsor the archive

Run a record shop, label, distro, venue, festival, or another business connected to music? A paid sponsorship can help keep GainesvilleShows running while introducing your work to people who care about live music.

We can discuss a logo or mention on the site, acknowledgment on a sponsors page, or an occasional Instagram mention. These are options to explore together; placement, timing, and compensation would be agreed before a sponsorship begins.

Sponsorships should fit the archive and be clearly identified. Support helps fund the project; historical information and corrections stay independent of sponsorship.

Tell us a little about your organization and what you have in mind. Sending an inquiry does not commit you to anything.

Include your website, the kind of acknowledgment you have in mind, and a budget or timeframe if you have one.

There are other ways to help

Share the archive, contribute a flyer or photo, add a missing show, or help correct a detail. Those contributions matter too. Thank you for helping preserve this history.
