On Sunday, February 11 at 8 p.m., FLEXfest founder, Video Rodeo owner, longtime UF film professor, Roger Beebe returns to Gainesville for a screening at the Wooly (20 N. Main St.) as part of a 3-month, 3000-mile roadshow of a program of his multiple-projector performances. The program will include several premieres of new works alongside some of his best-known projector performances. These works take on a range of strategies from formalist investigations of the materials of film to essayistic explorations of popular culture and a range of topics from the politics of font choices (“The Comic Sans Video”) to Las Vegas suicides (“Money Changes Everything”) and the real spaces of the virtual economy (“Amazonia”). The show is free and open to the public.
