Spatial Techniques Presentation by Composer-In-Residence, Dr. John Chowning Saturday, April 8, 2006, 12:00 p.m. University of Florida Center for the Performing Arts Black Box Theater Composing the Sound Itself In the early years of computer music the quality of sounds and the environments in which they occur were the 'targets' of exploration. The interaction between the work at Bell Labs and Stanford was occasional but productive. The early experiments in projecting sounds in space and FM synthesis will be presented and explained.
