Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers homecoming concert. The afternoon of October 26, 1991, the County of Alachua and the City of Gainesville proclaimed it to be 'Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Day.' At a press conference that afternoon at the University Centre Hotel, all band members were presented keys to the city, and Tom's hands were cast into a cement slab as part of a proposed Walk of Fame project.
