Carly Fiorina is best known for her position as CEO of Hewlett-Packard As CEO, Fiorina doubled the company’s revenue, quadrupled its growth rate, and saved 80,000 jobs. Fiorina was ranked by Fortune Magazine as the first woman to lead a Top- 20 company. Her transactions at HP made it the world’s largest seller of personal computers.
She has also served as a chairwoman for a number of policy-making and advisory organizations such as the American Conservative Union Foundation, Opportunity International and Good360, the world’s largest product philanthropy organization.
After leaving HP, she served under President George W. Bush as head of the newly-formed external advisory board for the CIA. In 2008, Fiorina served as an adviser to Senator John Mccain during the 2008 presidential campaign. In the same year, Fiorina and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice founded the One Woman Initiative together, which later merged with Opportunity International. In 2010, she successfully won the Republican nomination of the United States Senate in California, but later lost the general election.
In 2016, Fiorina ran for the Republican presidential nomination. She won the first two Republican debates, and was seen as a transformational leader. Throughout the campaign, she was credited for changing the landscape of the Republican field and fighting for conservative principles. Although she was unsuccessful, she is not giving up and will continue to fight for the American people.
