Carol Reed's classic, one of the greatest (and best looking) films of all time with a knockout script by Graham Greene and unquestionably the most amazing zither score in the history of the movies. Orson Welles stars as the enigmatic Harry Lime racing through canted frames in the black & white sewers of Vienna in what has been called the Best British Film of All Time (by a 1999 BFI poll). We could pile superlative upon superlative for this one, but we hope you don't need convincing and will just come on out. (For those who once before tried to see this print when we were still programming at the Thomas Center, we PROMISE it'll be The Third Man and not The Thin Man this time!)
