Hal McGee at Ante-Scientia, Laboratory Music 5 Pre Show - 3 Korg Monotron synths Duo Delay noise

Hal McGee recorded in performance at ANTE-SCIENTIA, the Laboratory Music 5 Pre Show, Friday, March 2, 2012, at The Laboratory, 818 West University Avenue, Gainesville, Florida. This is an electronic improvisation on Korg Monotron, Korg Monotron Duo, and Korg Monotron Delay synthesizers, through three Marshall MG-10 amplifiers. The curator of the Ante-Scientia gave me the assignment to perform a Fluxus performance event score -- Opus 25 by Eric Andersen (1961) -- 1. Select some objects which address themselves to your acoustic imagination. 2. Play with them according to a predetermined system. I drew from a deck of 52 playing cards (plus four Jokers) to guide me in choices of which of the three Monotrons to play -- one, two of the three or all three, and to guide me or suggest to me which knobs and switches to change on the synths.
