Wet Guys at the Real Tiny Deal, Action Research show #29: Microshow II on September 13, 2008 at The Story House in Gainesville, FL. Filmed by Dani. Titles and video transfer by Christopher Miller. Action Research #29: Microshow II -- The Real Tiny Deal happened at The Story House on September 13, 2008. This show was organized to contrast the Real Big Deal multi-stage festival happening elsewhere in Gainesville that same day. Each person played five minutes max. A power strip was plugged into a darkroom timer to enforce this, cutting power when the time ran out. Admission was six cents. For more info see: http://actionresearchfl.blogspot.com/2010/03/action-research-29.html This show was the second in a series of shows we called Microshows that featured five minute sets. The first Microshow occurred on September 30, 2007 and featured four microcassette themed performances, which prompted the name. For the second microshow, microcassettes were optional. We were unaware of Sam McPheeters' Micro-Show idea from 1995 at the time (where the entire show lasts five minutes). Sam's idea was implemented as a series of shows by Breathmint starting in 2009. Action Research is a series of experimental/ noise/ electronic/ underground shows established in Gainesville, FL in June 2007.
