This show was organized to contrast the Real Big Deal multi-stage festival happening elsewhere in Gainesville that same day. Each person played five minutes max. A power strip was plugged into a darkroom timer to enforce this, cutting power when the time ran out. Admission was six cents. The first Microshow occurred on September 30, 2007 and featured four microcassette themed performances, which prompted the name. For the second microshow, microcassettes were optional. We were unaware of Sam McPheeters' Micro-Show idea from 1995 at the time (where the entire show lasts five minutes).
