Randy Paul Duo

Randy-Paul consists of the father-son duo of Randy Paul Thompson & Paul L. Thompson residing in the areas of York & DuBois, PA. We have had the opportunity to record our original songs in Nashville, TN and have been fortunate to record with many well-known musicians such as Jon Conley: Kenny Chesney Band; Kenny Hutson: Grand Ole' Opry house band steel guitarist; Jim Dineen: Mixing and Mastering engineer for such artists as Prince, REM, Bruce Hornsby, Emmylou Harris and Third Day as well as many more.

Randy has held a full time job for the PA Dept. of Corrections and led worship for approximately 7 years for Crosswords Church in Mt. Wolf, PA. Paul, the 2nd half of Randy-Paul, has been a Pastor for approximately 25 years.

Music has been a passion of both of Randy and Paul leading Randy to become a self-taught songwriter, singer & musician on several instruments at a young age while watching my Paul in many of the bands he sang for. Randy began writing songs in his early 30's as an outlet to just express some of his emotions and thoughts. It wasn't until a few years later, when Randy was watching my Paul's involvement with a foundation he started called "The Tom Siple Foundation", that Randy started to think it would be great to write a song about the staff and recipients of that foundation. The foundation gives outdoor adventures to those who are handicapped or terminally ill. That song was titled, "Touched".

After writing the song for the T. S. Foundation Randy-Paul were introduced to a producer, Jeremy Casella, in Nashville which resulted in thier 1st full length Country album project "Touched". 12 songs are Randy-Paul originals and one song is an old hymn redone as a bluesy rendition. The songs cover subjects that Paul and Randy have dealt with in their lives. Things like family, divorce, alcoholism, hunting, riding Harley's and their Christian beliefs. Many ask if they are country or Christian Country because of their church involvement. The answer is, "It is simply Country Music through the eyes and heart of a Christian." It is their passion to reach out to men and women in this world, offering hope, encouragement, fun times, a helping hand if needed and ultimately encouraging them to a place where they may have an encounter with the One True Living God. They are currently working on a new project, expected later in 2015.
